The Nature Conservancy works to preserve the
diversity of living things by protecting their habitats. Together
with its members and conservation partners, the New Hampshire Chapter
of the Nature Conservancy has protected more than 91,000 acres of

the New Hampshire Natural Heritage Inventory finds, tracks, and
makes possible the protection of New Hampshire's rare plants and

The mission of the Ausbon Sargent Land Preservation
Trust is to help preserve the rural landscape of the Kearsarge/Sunapee
region by working with local governments and private landowners
to develop conservation easements. This nonprofit organization,

4,000 feet of frontage on Lake Sunapee.
