Built next to the Mississippi River in downtown Rock Island, Illinois, the Quad City Botanical Center offers beautiful gardens in all seasons! It features a 6,444 square foot tropical Sun Garden conservatory, an outdoor conifer garden highlighting rare and unusual varieties, and a medley of theme gardens. The award-winning Sun Garden is filled with exotic tropical flowers against the backdrop of 14-foot waterfall and several reflecting pools. Outdoor gardens feature thousands of spring bulbs, and colorful, rare perennials and annuals.

The Longview complex features a conservatory, a greenhouse, flower gardens, playground equipment, picnic shelters, sand volleyball courts, an outdoor ice skating rink, tennis courts, a swimming pool, a walk/jog path, and 39 acres of green space.

The City of Davenport and the Davenport Horticultural Society dedicated the Stampe Lilac Garden in 1980 on behalf of Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Stampe for their efforts in establishing and maintaining this outstanding horticultural area. Beginning in early April, flower enthusiasts can see narcissises, daffodils, crocuses, and young blooming lilacs. In mid-April, hyacinths, tulips, and crab apples begin to bloom. Schedule a visit to the garden and experience the colors and fragrances of almost 30,000 spring bulb blooms.
